mad fer 'the roller' - beady eye's proper debut

The release of Liam Gallagher's debut album with the remnants of Oasis, Beady Eye, is still nearly two months away. Today, however, the first proper single from Different Gear, Still Speeding has popped up online.


"The Roller" will be released as a vinyl 7" with B-side "Two Of A Kind" on February 21, and the official video will premiere on BBC Four next Monday.

After the old school soul of "Bring The Light" and Oasis sneer of "Four Letter Word", the new single strikes a happy medium between Britpop and British Invasion nostalgia:



In typical boastful fashion, Liam expects Beady Eye's debut to be the equal of Definitely Maybe. As doubtful as that may be, it seems Andy Bell and Gem Archer are more than capable of stepping out from the elder Gallagher's shadow.
