Crowded House may or may not be on another hiatus after 2010's Intriguer
and 25th anniversary The Very Very Best Of Crowded House
releases. However, frontman Neil Finn has a new project on the horizon that promises to be quite a departure from his typical singer-songwriter style.
Pajama Club is a three piece featuring Finn, his wife Sharon and Sean Donnelly. What began as some songs Neil and Sharon were writing at home in their pajamas — get it? — has become a full on band with a self-titled debut album due in September.
The first peek, "From A Friend To A Friend," shows Finn in a different light, with a steady groove, raw guitar and casual harmonies:

Has a bit of a Sea And Cake vibe — definitely in line with the recent swell of 90's indie throwbacks, and a far cry from this:
