Chicago teenagers Smith Westerns are set to release their sophomore LP, Dye It Blonde, on January 18.

The follow up to their jangly, lo-fi self-titled debut is significantly more realized and better produced. Perhaps the indie kids will consider the new album a sell out. I consider it infinitely more listenable.
