New York City's Violens appear to be working on a follow up to last year's impressive debut, Amoral.
The former members of Lansing-Drieden have posted a couple of new tunes on their website. The most recent, "Spirit," sees their sound drifting away from angular new romanticism and into more hazy dream pop.
The accompanying video of lithe wrestling ladies has an appropriately gauzy feel:
"Be Still" predates "Spirit" and has more of a shoegaze edge:
Though not as cryptic as Lansing-Drieden, Violens aren't the most talkative bunch, so no clue as to the possibility of a future full length. As for tour plans, looks like a few European festivals are all they've got on the books.
