Now that Wolf Parade is on permanent hiatus, Dan Boeckner has plenty of time to focus on Handsome Furs — his electronic tinged project with wife Alexei Perry.
Sound Kapital is the follow up to 2009's Face Control. Unlike that album, the couple reportedly wrote the new record entirely on keyboards. The result is a more industrial, cold war era sound that you can hear on "What About Us":
Boeckner's signature voice paired with vintage synths sounds like a terrific combination to me. Sound Kapital is out June 28 on Subpop.
