A few weeks ago, Upside Down, the story of Creation Records, debuted at SXSW. In about a month — May 9th to be precise — the DVD and soundtrack will be released.
Much like 2003's Live Forever, it captures the English music scene of the late 80's and early 90's. But it's also a love letter to Creation Records founder Alan McGee who many of the label's bands credit for their success.
And those bands! Oasis, Primal Scream, Jesus And Mary Chain, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Teenage Fanclub, Super Furry Animals, The Boo Radleys, Swervedriver, Ride... it's incredible the roster of acts that came through Creation during it's brief 16 year run.

If you took Oasis out of there that's a pretty stellar lineup they had!
My Bloody Valentine aren't on this compilation??? Bizarre.
Apparently they were writing something new to be included and didn't finish it in time!
