david lynch directs duran duran unstaged

Last night was the big American Express corporate gig for Duran Duran. They streamed a concert live on youtube, directed by noted Hollywood outsider David Lynch.


At the moment, the band has made four songs from the show available on their youtube channel. Frankly, Lynch's direction — with grainy filters, visual non sequiturs and glitchy effects — makes the clips pretty unwatchable. Not to mention the song selection leaves a bit to be desired.

Anyway, judge for yourself. Here's the opener of the new album, "All You Need Is Now":

They dug deep into the back catalog for "Careless Memories" from their 1981 self titled debut:
