George Lewis, Jr., or Twin Shadow, is living the Brooklyn dream. He quit his teaching job in Florida, moved to the indie capital of North America, made an album in his apartment and just got signed to the legendary 4AD label.

Okay, so it wasn't that simple. He does have that killer coiff. And he was fortunate enough to be "discovered" by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor, who helped produce the Twin Shadow debut album Forget.

The album will be released domestically on Taylor's Terrible Records on September 28th and everywhere else on the 4AD imprint on November 15th.

It's very much at home alongside fellow DIY 4ADers Ariel Pink and Deerhunter, with just enough drama and electronic flair to harken back to the label's glory days. Check out the woozy synth in "Tether Beat":

And remember these "banned" Calvin Klein kiddie porn ads from the 90's?

Twin Shadow does a well executed send-up in the video for lead single "Slow":

"You've got a talent. Real, real big talent."
